Leo Rodriguez

Leonela Rodriguez began her medical career while serving in the U.S. Navy, working in both clinical and administrative roles within urology. An early opportunity to assist in a research study sparked her lasting interest in clinical research.

After earning her bachelor’s degree in medical administration, the COVID-19 pandemic inspired her to pursue more meaningful, impact-driven work. She completed a Clinical Research Coordinator program and gained hands-on experience through an internship with the Arizona Cancer Center, launching her career in research. Her experience spans oncology research and NIH-funded studies, deepening her appreciation for the impact clinical trials have on patients’ lives.

A medically retired Navy veteran and proud single mother, Leonela has dedicated herself to the medical field since 2005. She is driven by a strong sense of purpose and is committed to advancing care and improving lives through clinical research.
