Dr. Sunildat Maheshwari is a board-certified family physician and has served as the Medical Director of Gilbert Center for Family Medicine since 2014.
Recognizing the need to expand therapeutic options for his patients, he embraced clinical research in 2019. Through these efforts, he has helped advance innovative medical therapies while providing more than 1,300 patients with access to cutting-edge treatments and clinical trials-bringing research directly into everyday patient care.

Dr. Maheshwari's primary research interests focus on cardiometabolic conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and obesity. He is also actively involved in clinical research across medical devices, dermatology, neurology, and cancer screening.

He is a dedicated member of both the Obesity Medicine Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Sunny enjoys staying active and spending time with his family. A proud husband and father, he can often be found golfing, playing tennis or snooker, exploring technology, or traveling—having visited Japan, Australia, and much of Europe.
