Caleb is a board-certified Physician Assistant with advanced training in both clinical medicine and public health, holding a Master of Public Health in addition to his PA degree. His background includes hands-on emergency care experience as an EMT and a strong academic foundation focused on whole-patient care. He plays an active role in clinical research as a sub-investigator, where he recruits participants and monitors patient safety across multiple trials. Caleb is committed to advancing public health and expanding treatment options through research, while delivering patient-centered care that emphasizes prevention, population health, and evidence-based practice.

Tessa Fotoohi is a board-certified Physician Assistant with over 14 years of experience in family and urgent care medicine. With a strong commitment to clinical research, she has served as a sub-investigator on more than a dozen clinical trials. She has experience in multiple therapeutic specialties including, cardiometabolic, dermatology, neurology, and cancer screenings. Clinical Research supports Tessa passion to help patients achieve their healthcare goals. It is safe to say, Her Involvement in clinical research at Gilbert Center for Family Medicine has been key in maintaining our patient recruitment and retention rates.

Dr. Sunildat Maheshwari is a board-certified family physician and has served as the Medical Director of Gilbert Center for Family Medicine since 2014. Recognizing the need to expand therapeutic options for his patients, he embraced clinical research in 2019. Through these efforts, he has helped advance innovative medical therapies while providing more than 1,300 patients with access to cutting-edge treatments and clinical trials-bringing research directly into everyday patient care. Dr. Maheshwari’s primary research interests focus on cardiometabolic conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and obesity. He is also actively involved in clinical research across medical devices, dermatology, neurology, and cancer screening. He is a dedicated member of both the Obesity Medicine Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
